ABOUT ME
Tuesday, October 6, 2015 my physical impairment began with initial right chest pain and difficulty breathing which required hospitalization for two days. I was well taken care of during my stay. I had the best outpatient triage team and team of doctors who were up front with me and on-point every step of the way. They provided clarity and guidance during my medical screenings to determine my diagnosis and subsequent treatment plans.
Tuesday, October 20, 2015 I was diagnosed with right lung cancer (mesothelioma), with respiratory impairment that limits major life activities, including manual tasks like; speaking, walking, eating, sleeping, bending and lifting, etc. This diagnosis is an unfortunate one for me, my family and friends, but we remain very optimistic for a full recovery. The doctors are experienced with this type of cancer and are ready to begin a rigorous treatment plan starting with Chemo treatment. I will be on a Cycle length: 21 days, for a maximum of six cycles every third week of each month. Then surgery will follow and radiation treatments.
We want to thank you all for your continuous support during this difficult time and your journey with us as we all learn and grow. This is a new way of life for us. My focus is to keep my life as normal as possible and be as productive as I can. I will perform work job functions as a Senior Graphic Designer with reasonable accommodations working from home by telecommuting during this time. Our family remains positive knowing that all will be well.
So we claim that "with God all things are possible." (Matthew 19:26). He will sustain us each and every day and give us everything we need to push forward on the good days and on the not so good days ahead.
